Drama Review : Love Alarm

Hello guys.

So, after a long time, I take a break because my heart was breaking until this moment. But just pray all good things will come to me. Okay?

Today, I would like to review a Korean drama. A cliché but not so cliché. I just found out that this drama is an adaptation from a webtoon. Usually, if drama is an adaptation from webtoon, anime or manga will turn to be an amazing drama. Love alarm will never disappointed like another adaptation movie. 

Here the reasons why I so in love with this drama. 

1. Amazing technology - Love Alarm

Can you imagine, just using this app you will find out if someone having a crush on you? Or maybe you can express your feeling towards your crush by using these love apps. Amazing right? Love alarm is an app that notifies the user's potential love interest within 10 meters. So, no one can hide their feeling. It is amazing but if  I think again about it - it's creepy. 

2. My favorite cast - Kim So Hyun

Kim So Hyun, made me watch this drama. I'm not her fan but I'm amazed by her acting. She still young but have a great talent for acting. I can say that I watch almost all of her drama. Yes, I have to admit that the person who cast in drama is one of the reasons why I choose to watch that drama. 

So, here the three main lead in this drama

Kim So Hyun as Kim Jo Jo who hides her feeling under her lively world and have rang the Love Alarm for Hwang Sun Oh

Song Kang as Hwang Sun Oh who is a famous young model and actor, just returning from abroad and fall in love with Kim Jo Jo

Jung Ga Ram as Lee Hye Young who is Sun Oh's buddy and having a crush on Kim So Hyun. But, he was willing to give up his first love for his buddy.

3. Cliché but not so cliché storyline 

For me, the storyline is quite cliché. Just a story of triangle love between Kim Jo Jo, Hwang Sun Oh and Lee Hye Young. But, with existing of Love Alarm app successful to twist the storyline be more unique. Good job team Love Alarm.

Which team am I? Hwang Sun Oh team or Lee Hye Young Team? Who is other girl beside Hwang Sun Oh? You should watch to find out. I don't wanna be a spoiler.  

4. Favorite Quotes 

In this drama, I have my own favorite line.

" We keep falling for someone. Even when there's no guarantee that our feeling will be reciprocated. Still, why we devote our time and effort to love someone with all our heart when that someone is not even ourselves. "

Episode 2: There's Nothing Anyone Can Do When You Like Someone

There's nothing anyone can do when you like someone. It's feel like there's butterfly in my stomach. Sad. Scared. All feeling mixed. Sometimes I feel likes better I'm alone than fall in love with someone. I'm just scared to fall in love again. The past experience teach me a lot. I'm so sacred to open my heart. But.....

5. So in love with OST 

Here, I share it with you guys. You should listen it. It's a nice song and so perfect for this drama. I really love this song and I repeated again and again. For this moment, I still listen to this song and it's my favorite.

Even though this drama is about a triangle-youngster-love-story, but there is a reminder from the producer which is how social media harms teenagers. How social media leading to mental health issues and suicide. In this drama, producer show how Love Alarm would cause this issue. It's similar to other social media like Instagram. How people nowadays insecure about other beauty, success, and career. 

Ok guys, I think that all for this posting. Till next time. I'm waiting for the second season for this drama. I need it right now, Netflix. Please..... 😭😭😭😭. Yeah, the ending is a cliffhanger. Its a bad reality.
